Introduction
Nowadays, urban safety and environmental management are the most challenging ones to any country in the world. Therefore, scientists, researchers, academicians, and politicians from governments, universities, institutions, and societies are engaging together to find neew solutions to face with the challenging global issues.
Recognizing the importance of urban safety and urban environmental management. Yangon Technological University, Myanmar and International Center for Urban Safety Engineering (ICUS), Institute of Industrial Science (IIS), the University of Tokyo, Japan, co-organize ''International Symposium on New Technologies for Urban Safety of Mega Cities in Asia'' (USMCA2014) from Nov 3-5, 2014 at Yangon Tehchnological University, Myanmar. The USMCA has been in Asia for 12 times in different Asian cities and this 13th is the 1st USMCA in Myanmar.
